Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated student to join our Protein Analytics team for a six-month co-op. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with analytical techniques used to characterize proteins. The successful candidate will provide support on the following tasks:Responsibilities- HPLC: Run and analyze routine samples (e.g. SEC, HIC).
- Generate biotinylated proteins via chemical or enzymatic reactions, confirm quality, and assess degree of labeling and sensor loading by Octet BLI. Summarize results and report data.
- Octet BLI: Perform routine kinetic analysis, analyze data
- Track reagents and lab supplies in eLabInventory system
- Perform maintenance and system cleaning on HPLCs and kinetic instruments
Needed upon hire- Working towards a degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field
- Detail oriented
- Ability to commit to a 6-month term starting in June 2025
- Knowledge of basic wet bench skills (e.g. micropipette usage) and laboratory safety
- Adaptable and productive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and openly with colleagues and supervisors
